RULES AND REGULATIONS:
BASKETBALL RULES
· This league consists of 2 round robin elimination.
GAME START:
· 5 minutes grace period will be applied. If team does not have 5 players after such period will be disqualified
. Referees' fee should paid before the game starts (payable at the Committee Table)
. Any team that had been disqualified or had lost by default are obliged to pay the gym and referees' fee. Failure to comply will automatically be disqualified for their next game
· Game start by JUMP-BALL
· Subsequent Possession will be determined by arrow rule
REGISTRATION OF PLAYERS:
· Only registered players are allowed to play from start to finish of the league
· Adding or changing of players are not allowed after the league commenced (January 24, 2009)
· Players should be in uniform during the game with visible number
GAME CLOCK:
· 40 minutes game clock
. 20 minutes 1st half running time
. 20 minutes 2nd half running time, the last 3 minutes will be stop clock on all fouls, time out, and violations.
· 5 minutes half break(may vary if time did not permit)
· Two 1-minutes time outs on first half and will not carry over on the second half
· Two 1-minutes time outs on second half and will not carry over in case of overtime
· 24 seconds shot clock will be applied. FOULS:
· Players will be given 5 fouls per game
· Penalty shot will be given after 7 team fouls
· All technical fouls will count as a personal foul and player who receives a technical foul must sit out of the game for three minutes before he will be allowed back into the game. If a player receives second technical foul during the same game, the player will be rejected from the game.
OVERTIME:
· All overtime will consist of three minute periods with clock stopping with fouls and violations in the last one minute.
· One extra 1-minute time out will be given during overtime with clock stopping.
CONDUCT:
· All participants, coach and spectators shall refrain from using profanity or verbal abuse towards other players, coaches, spectators, referees and the committees.
· This is a drug and alcoholic free event. Any coaches or players engaged in the use of alcohol or drugs will be disqualified from further participation in the tournament.
· Coaches/team captain will be responsible for the conduct of their players.
· Any member or team personnel who participates in a fight shall be immediately suspended from the game for the duration to be determined by the committee.
CORRECTION OF ERROR
· Error on Referees call can be corrected by head referee (Head referee will be announced before the game start)
· Any conflict on referees call/judgment can be corrected by head referee.
· Error on game clock can be re-set or adjusted by referees and committees discretion.
OFFICIATING & COMMITTEES:
· Officials decision is final.
· Only coaches or team captains are allowed to complain or approach committees table/referee.
· All substitutions must be reported to committee’s table.
· Each team should have a representative on committees table during their game.
· The game will not be stopped to handle the protest. The protest will take place at half time only and after the game.
IN THE EVENT OF TIE TEAM STANDINGS AFTER ELIMINATIONS
If 2 TEAMS ARE TIED
. Winner over the other
ALL OTHER CASES
· Points or quotient system will be applied for the involved team only(all games)
If 2 TEAMS ARE TIED

· In case of triple tie 1 team should advance to the semis
example A defeated B by 10 points
B defetead C by 8 points
C defeated A by 6 points
A +10 + -6 = +4 B -10 + 8 = +2 C +6 -8 = -2
· Therefore A will advance to the final or semis · B & C will only play knock out game to fill up the top four finalist
· In case of 4 teams or double tie knock out game will be applied to fill up the top four finalist.
SAFETY:
· Necklace and other jewelry should be removed during the game
· Tournament staff are not responsible for any personal items that are left behind, lost or stolen
